The new food tenets issued by the US central authority endorse that all Americans eat between 5 and nine portions of fruit and veg each day.

When you first hear that number, it could appear like a lot, but it’s actually far easier than you think to fit that many portions of vegetables and fruit into your typical diet. For one thing, the shelves of the corner store stores are reasonably bursting with fresh fruit and veg. For example, the daily recommended amount basically is equivalent to a quite reasonable 2 cups of fruit and two and a half cups of veg each day.
