Naveen Jain: the Brilliant Mind behind Intelius

The brilliant and charming Naveen Jain rose to the top of the IT ladder of success after he established an Internet company that grew to become one of the most innovative technology-based companies in the world.
Considered one of America’s richest, Jain has always been proud of his humble beginnings. Growing up in India’s Uttar Pradesh, where illiteracy was a common thing, Jain made the most of the things he learned from the environment surrounding him. He pushed himself to succeed and eventually earned a degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. He went on to attend Xavier Labour Relations Institute and took home an MBA.
Through a business exchange program, Naveen Jain was able to migrate to the United States and in 1989, he found himself working for Bill Gates and Microsoft.
As proof of his determination to succeed, Jain formed his own company after leaving Microsoft. InfoSpace began operating as an Internet search company in 1996.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Jain left InfoSpace and together with former Microsoft and InfoSpace colleagues, created Intelius.
Over the years, Naveen Jain and Intelius have become synonymous with success. Both received numerous awards and honors like the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur award, the Best New Company awards from the Stevie Award, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, Stevie Award’s Most Innovative Company award in 2007, various inclusions in Forbes’ esteemed lists, and the Best Online Consumer Service award given by CODiE.
Jain’s success has allowed him to pursue another passion – philanthropy. His unselfish acts have benefitted various organizations working for causes related to education, hunger, and children.
